Multifactor Authentication
Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is an authentication method that requires users to provide two or more verification process to gain access to the resource.It adds and extra layers of security to identity and access management programs.
MFA can be enabled by the user themself without interacting with an admin or the Global Admin can enable on behalf.
5.You are prompted to Scan the QR Code
6.Download Authenticator APP on your Mobile.
7.Open the APP and Click on "+ Add Account"
8.Click on Work or School Account
9.Scan a QR code OR Sign in
10.For this demo, QR is Selected,Scan the code on your mobile
11.The Account will be displayed in Authenticator APP after QR Scanning
12.Now, Go back to the Web Browser and and click Next
13.Soon after Clicking on Next,You will receive notification to Approve in the Mobile App.
14.Back to Browser (Approved ), Click on Next
15.In this step you are required to provide the Phone Number,After providing the phone number you will receive a code to verify.
16.In the Bottom of the picture you can see the option " I want to setup a different method"
For this demo I am choosing Email
18.Enter the verification code received
20.Now "Signout" and "Signin".After Providng Credentials you are prompted for Verification.
You will receive a notification to approve on Mobile. Approve it to Login.
21. You can also choose alternative option for Login
* Choose "I can't use my Microsoft Authentication App right now"
*Use a verification code from my mobile app
22.Open the application on your Mobile and Click on the Account.You will see the code.
Note:The code is regenerated in every 30 seconds.
23.Enter the code.You are in !!
Alternative Method
In case if the user is logged in and wants to enable Multifactor Authentication.
1.Click on the top right cornor of the Account and click on View account
2.Click on the Security Info
